So here is a quick guide to get you started using Gift Vouchers and Discount Coupons in BearCart.Begin by logging into your Admin panel  in BearCart and from your main menu click Vouchers/Coupons.

Your discount coupon panel shows the current coupons and also allows you to add a new coupon.

Click the Insert button to begin;

The following details will need to be filled in to setup your coupon code.

Coupon Name - Used to identify your coupon later.

Coupon Description – Optional. Describe your coupon for easy identification.

Coupon Amount - Amounts can be added as a % (shown as 15%) or as a dollar value (shown as 15.00)

Coupon Minimum Order – Optional. Allows you to set a minimum order before the coupon can be used.

Free Shipping – This is optional and can only be used on its own.

Coupon Code – Optional. Set an easy to remember code (ie. FREE ) or allow the program to build it’s own.

Uses Per Coupon – By default this is set to unlimited allowing for all customers to use the coupon. Can also be set to a specific number for use when the first five orders will recieve 20% Off.

Uses Per Customer – By default this is set to 1 allowing for each customer to use the coupon once.

Valid Product List - Optional. Specify the range of products that a voucher can be used on. This is also available on a Category basis as below.

Valid Category List – Optional. As Above.

Start date - Coupon is valid from this date.

End Date – Coupon is valid until this date.

Click Preview and then insert after you have confirmed the coupon details.

Congratulations you have successfully added a new coupon to your store.

In the process of setting up BearCart you will no doubt be looking at what payment options are available for your business, well we hope so anyway.

BearCart has a huge range of payment methods pre-installed including; Paypal, Bank Deposit (Australian), Cheque / Money Order and Cash on Delivery. BearCart is also compatible with eWay payments (Please request this as part of your website development)

Now to the tutorial…Setting up your payment options!

We will start with the most popular payment method – Paypal.

In the Admin area of BearCart click the “Modules” link in the left hand menu. A drop down box will include the following options;

• Payment (This is what we will be using today)
• STS (This controls our template for the site – all modifications will be made to this by Morris Bear Designs)
• Shipping (This will be one of our next tutorials – how to setup shipping options for your online store)
• Order Total (This controls how your online shop processes the order amounts for your online store)

Click the Payment link to begin…

You will now be presented with the options available for your store (See screenshot below)

Click the Paypal Website Payments Standard link from the list shown. This will bring up all of the configuration options for accepting Paypal payments through your online store.

Payment Zone
If a zone is selected, only enable this payment method for that zone.

Not required however if you would only like to accept Paypal payments from a single country this can be specified here. Contact Morris Bear Designs for more help with this.

Set Preparing Order Status
Set the status of prepared orders made with this payment module to this value

The default value here shows if a customer has clicked the payment button and not completed the payment. Good fo checking the progress of your orders. Changing this value is not recommended.

Set PayPal Acknowledged Order Status
Set the status of orders made with this payment module to this value

The default value will change in your orders panel once the payment is completed. Changing this value is not recommended.

Gateway Server
Use the testing (sandbox) or live gateway server for transactions?

Set to Live

Transaction Method
The processing method to use for each transaction.

Set to Payment

Page Style
The page style to use for the transaction procedure (defined at your PayPal Profile page)

This can be modified at paypal.com.au or left blank.

Debug E-Mail Address
All parameters of an Invalid IPN notification will be sent to this email address if one is entered.

Used for testing.

Sort order of display.
Sort order of display. Lowest is displayed first.

By default this is set to 0 to show Paypal first.

Enable Encrypted Web Payments
Do you want to enable Encrypted Web Payments?

This and the remaining options are only used when an SSL certificate is installed.

Click Submit! Congratulations you have now enabled Paypal payments on your BearCart online shopping cart system.

The process for each payment method is quite similar and easy to follow.
